Who we are
Life changing moments are always shown to us as being wheeled into an operating room while our partner anxiously paces alone, in the center of a dark waiting room at 2 in the morning. To me, it was three days later. Three days after the surgeon explained to me that they had to take my right tube when they took my baby, saving my life. Three days after one, solitary nurse in a room packed with scrambling professionals all passively reassuring me I would be fine when my tears came. One person who paused to cry with me and put my hand on my belly, showing me he understood and it was not that I was afraid.
Under construction - this story is hard to tell.
